Update 1:11 p.m.: According to fire officials, the fire has been extinguished.
Southampton Fire Chief Rodney "Chip" Pierson said no injuries were reported and the department believes the fire started in a mattress in the rear of the home. The fire marshal is investigating the cause.
Roadways closed due to the fire, Pierson said, should be open around 1:30 p.m.
Aside from the Southampton Fire Department, the Southampton Volunteer Ambulance, the Southampton Village Ambulance and North Sea Fire Department were on scene. The Hampton Bays Fire Department responded with rapid intervention team.

According to Chris Brenner, a spokesman with the Southampton Fire Department, firefighters are trying to extinguish a home on which was fully engulfed in flames.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was inside the home or if there were any injuries.
