Calling all those advocates, hand-raisers, soap-box speakers and village meeting attendees. Southampton Patch is seeking a few good bloggers to add to our site.
Are you passionate about local politics or history? Attend school board meetings? Sit on a village board, committee or group? Volunteer in town? Have a love of sports, arts or science? Love to write? Then we want you to blog for us.
Join Southampton residents and business owners who've found their voice on Patch such as Zoe Strassfield, of Water Mill; David D'Agostino, of Tuckahoe, and William Wright, of Americana Mortgage Group, just to name a few.
Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue, Southampton Hospital, Group for the East End, and Last Chance Animal Rescue are among the nonprofits
Local political figures, like state Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr., of Sag Harbor, Southampton Town Councilwoman Bridget Fleming, of Noyac, and U.S. Rep. Tim Bishop, of Southampton, also contribute their voices to Southampton Patch.
Each of these bloggers write about a variety of topics of their own choosing; from philosophy and politics to local nostalgia and animal welfare.
Our Local Voices bloggers can write as frequently or infrequently as they like on a topic of choice. Short or long, essay style or a quick how-to. Even a slide show, or just one great photo. Blogging on Patch is a great way to share your opinions with the community and get your voice out there.
