All year it feels like we look forward to summer — and then, in a flash, it's over.
Does it feel that way to you, too?
All my life, when I see the Hampton Classic tents go up over in Bridgehampton, I'd start to say, "The summer's over," mainly because I knew school was right around the corner. The feeling stayed with me even-post college. And, by the way, they were up last week.
What event triggers that same feeling for you? Perhaps you are looking forward to Labor Day, when the traffic eases and the beaches become less crowded.
Hopefully, we've made the most of it so far and can treasure the few weeks we have left.
