Independent filmmakers who plan to shoot in Sag Harbor on Wednesday and Thursday want to get locals involved in their movie as extras.
The film is "Gabriel," starring Rory Culkin — younger brother of Macaulay Culkin — as the titular character, who leaves a group home under the auspices of visiting his family, while his real goal is to reunite with his childhood girlfriend, according to the casting notice.
Background actors of all ages, genders and ethnicities are sought, whether experienced or novices.
"It's going to be a great and unique experience," the notice states. "If you have thought about being an actor in the past, or just want to experience what a film shoot is like, please join us!"
Mike Herman, of the film company Clean Mean Productions, said those who are interested may contact him at cleanmachinecasting@gmail.com for all the details.
"We would love to have people stay for both days, because the scene is supposed to be continuous," he said. "However, if they can only make it for one day that is fine as well."
Herman said that Sag Harbor will stand in for a Connecticut town.
