The contents of a dumpster located in the parking lot behind 25 Jobs Lane in Southampton Village — the former site of the Parrish Art Museum — caught fire Saturday morning.
Southampton Fire Department Second Assistant Chief Chris Brenner said firefighters were called in at 10:45 a.m., and crews quickly extinguished it. They were on scene for about 15 minutes, he said.
First Assistant Chief Mike Kampf was in charge of the scene.
The heat from the fire resulted in the dumpster's paint bubbling up, Brenner said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
