Voters in the Rogers Memorial Library District approved a 1.98 percent increase in the tax levy on Friday, and returned two incumbents to the Board of Trustees.
The newly approved budget for 2013, including debt payments, is $4,155,612 million, up 2.28 percent from the 2012 budget.
The library district includes both Southampton School District and Tuckahoe School District.
By a vote of 47 to 10, Tuckahoe voters approved $401,482 in spending, and by 174 to 62, Southampton vioters signed off on $3,754,130.
The estimated new tax rate is $0.1816 per $1,000 of assessed property value, up 4.07 percent from the current tax rate.
One trustee seat was decided on by all voters, while the second decision was only available to Southampton School District residents. Each term is for four years.
For the at-large seat, incumbent Sandra Klemuk fended off a challenge from Shirley Katzter. The vote was 211 to 80.
For the designated Southampton seat, incumbent J. Judith Johnson won with 176 votes to challenger Susan Stevenson's 83.
