Manwaring said he didn’t want to talk too much about the move yet as of Monday morning, but he said he thought he’d be done in about three weeks. He needs to set up shop in the temporary building while the permitting process happens with the Southold Townto reopen the long vacant Hollister’s.

Former School Board Member Alleges Voter Fraud in Tuckahoe

Voter fraud has marred recent elections and budget votes in Tuckahoe School District, according to former Tuckahoe School Board member Susan Riccardi.

Riccardi, who served on the School Board from 2007 to 2010, alleges that three people who cast ballots in Tuckahoe on May 15 also voted in a neighboring district the same day, and eight or nine more people who voted in Tuckahoe do not reside in the district.

She did not have the names on hand Tuesday night, but said she will be providing them to Patch soon.

Residents Blast Cops Over Escalating Riverside, Flanders Crime

Locals say crimes such as prostitution and drug deals are taking place in broad daylight on the streets of Riverside and Flanders — and they have had enough.

At Monday night's meeting of the Flanders, Riverside and Northampton Civic Association, President Brad Bender said increased drug activity, as well as prostitution, in areas including Old Quogue Road, Wildwood Lake, and Vail Avenue, led to the civic group's reaching out to the Southampton Town Police Department for answers.

To that end, Southampton Town Police Sergeant Sue Ralph and police officer Craig Slovensky came to listen to residents' concerns and discuss escalating crime in the area.

A Jaguar, a Big Domestic Cat, or a Fox in East Hampton?

The State Department of Environmental Conservation confirmed on Monday that it was investigating several reports of an exotic cat, like a jaguar, on the loose in East Hampton. As the week progressed, it told East Hampton Patch that they believed what was seen was a red fox, likely with mange. And as late as Friday another reader noted that he saw a "humongous gray cat" in East Hampton on Thursday afternoon.
