Members of the Stony Brook Southampton MFA in Creative Writing and Literature community gathered recently to celebrate the life and writings of David Rakoff, a humorist and essayist who succumbed to cancer in August at the age of 47.
The memorial for Rakoff includes eulogizing, readings of some of Rakoff's works and clips of Rakoff's public appearances at the Shinnecock Hills campus, where he was a visiting lecturer.
